Kill That Cabin Fever!

by Fontaine Family

It's the middle of February in Maine....
that means Cabin Fever has set in...
and there are 2 more storms in the forecast.

It's time to Kill That Cabin Fever!

Here's our list of ideas to keep busy on a snowy Maine day!

1.  If You Can't Beat 'em, Join 'em

Embrace the weather, get outside, and enjoy the snow. Go snowshoeing, snowmobiling, or hiking.

2.  Paint It

Mix water and food coloring in spray bottles and spray it on the snow to "paint" a masterpiece on all that white stuff outside!

3.  Snow Ice Cream

Add 1 can (14oz) of sweetened evaporated milk and 1 tsp of vanilla to 8-10 cups of snow to make a sweet treat!

4.  Make Some Money

Clean out closets and basements and sell your unwanted items to earn some extra cash!  You can take photos and post items on websites like Craigslist or Facebook to get rid of them!

5.  Tax Prep

Gather paperwork and receipts to get a jump on getting your taxes done.  You are going to have to do it eventually, so you may as well get started.

6.  Stay Safe

Test your smoke detectors and change the batteries.  It's something you've been meaning to do, but you just haven't.  Now's a great time!

7.  Movie Day

The classic snow day standby...catch up on your favorite shows or movies on Netflix!

Enjoy the snow day...soon you will be mowing the lawn instead of shoveling the snow!
